Green Line Trolley MBTA Paper Art

$80.00

The MBTA Green Line is the oldest subway line in North America, with tunnels dating to 1897. Today the transit line is known as both the most confusing and loudest subway line in the MBTA system, due to having multiple terminal stations on each end of the line, and many twisty tunnels (again, dating to 1897) under the city of Boston that are tight enough that the train groans and squeals in protest all along the way.

This paper model of a Type 7 Green Line Trolley is created from nearly 100 individual pieces of paper, and carefully assembled by hand. The model is mounted to a green background created with acrylic paint using a mono-printing technique. The black frame is 8.75″ (about 22cm) square and 1.125″ (about 3cm) deep. It looks great as part of a gallery wall, and is small enough to fit in some of those weird corners and nooks, or on a bookshelf!
